Jo Dipple is Chief Executive of UK Music and one of the most senior women working in the music industry today. UK Music is the umbrella organisation which represents the collective interests of the UK’s commercial music industry – from artists, musicians, songwriters and composers, to record labels, music managers, music publishers, studio producers, music licensing organisations and the live music industry. The members of UK Music are: AIM, BASCA, BPI, FAC, MMF, MPA, MPG, MU, PPL, PRS for Music and the Live Music Group. UK Music’s representations ensure the British music industry presents a unified voice to politicians and business leaders and highlights the economic value of music to the UK’s economy and the immense soft-power it brings to government through the publishing of annual economic reports into GVA contribution and tourism. Before joining UK Music in 2008, Jo worked at Downing Street for former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the Treasury and Trinity Mirror PLC.
