Having started out helping friends with press releases, and booking shows at a local club, Ruth gained as much experience as possible in live events. Still in Newcastle, she was hired as a scout for Amazing Radio over 5 years ago now, forming part of the early progress of shaping playlists and content, as well as starting The Amazing Sessions with the best new and emerging artists, both in external studios and on location at festivals. Highlights were filming very early tracks with the likes of Daughter, Wolf Alice, Slaves, The 1975, Marika Hackman, James Bay and many, many more. Her role expanded to include numerous aspects, and after 5 years she left Amazing Radio as Head Of Content back in March 2015. Now in London, Ruth took a new role as Artist Liaison & Communications Co-Ordinator at the PRS For Music Foundation in order to continue helping artists achieve their aims, in a very tangible way. Her day to day focuses on liaising with artists and creating content in order to spread the word about the Foundation’s numerous funds.
